With another dose of winter coming Saturday —- between five and nine inches in JP, according to a Globe blogger — Snowcrew is here to help.

The idea, hatched by former JP resident Joseph Porcelli, is to use the Web to link people who need help shoveling with neighbors willing to do it. As City Feed’s David Warner told the Globe, “What’s so nice about it is that it’s easy. When you make it easy for people to do the right thing, things get done.”

Whether you’ve got a willing back and want to help or you can’t do your own shoveling and want to request help, just follow this link.
