Here's your Morning Memo for all things JP for Monday, May 5.

A Safer Arborway?: As you plan your week, consider attending Tuesday night's meeting about pedestrian and bicycle safety on the Arborway near the main entrance to the Arboretum. The state will be making proposals about how to improve the Upper Arborway Crossing. 7 p.m. Tuesday at First Church in Jamaica Plain, Unitarian Universalist, 6 Eliot St.

Jamaica Pond Association Meets Monday Night: Also on the civic docket is the May meeting of the neighborhood association for Pondside residents. One of the agenda items is the association and JP Centre/South Main Streets taking up a request from local businesses to change between 4 to 6 parking spaces near Pond Street to 15 minute parking. 7 p.m Monday at Jamaica Tower.

Recapping Wake Up The Earth: It was a beautiful day for the annual celebration of the movement that kept I-95 from destroying JP. Here's a selection of some of the best social media items we found from Saturday's festival. The Jamaica Plain News had a bright-orange table right across from the drummers. Thanks to the 52 of you who stopped by and signed up for our free morning newsletter!

Have a great day, JP! I'll be out confirming a possible big change to the business landscape. More details soon!
