Driver Hits Teen in Dot, Crashes Car In JP

A hit-and-run driver who left a teen seriously injured in Dorchester crashed his vehicle on Glenside Avenue in Jamaica Plain.

WCVB reports that neighbors near the scene of the first wreck, at Kingsdale and Standish streets in Dorchester, said the car was traveling fast. The initial crash happened about 8 p.m. Wednesday, according to Universal Hub.

A witness told CBS-Boston that the impact left the car with a cracked windshield. The teen, suffering life-threatening injuries, was taken to Boston Medical Center, according to CBS-Boston.

After crashing into a car on Glenside Avenue, the hit-and-run driver ran away, the Herald reports. The man was arrested on Glade Avenue.

The name of the driver hasn't yet been released.
