Print More

Labor Day is the traditional celebration of the "end" of summer (though it doesn't really end until late on Sept. 22). Here's what's open and closed in JP.

Schools: Closed
City, State and National Government Offices: Closed
Trash and Recycling: Pick-up is delayed one day unless you're in the small part of JP that has pick-ups twice a week.
Subway and buses: Operating on a Sunday schedule
Parking meters: Mostly, JP doesn't have meters. But they're not in effect Labor Day citywide.
Banks: Closed
Private businesses: It's up to the business. For instance, both of City Feed's locations are open Labor Day. Also:

JP Licks will be open regular hours, from 6 a.m. to midnight.
