Police Log: Six Assault and Batteries With Dangerous Weapons Outside Pond Area

Here are highlights from the police blotter for Jamaica Plain from Monday, Sept. 29 through Sunday, Oct. 5.

While much of media coverage, including here on Jamaica Plain News, has focused on the alarming armed robberies near the Pond in which victims were tied up and menaced with knives, six incidents of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon or street robberies were reported outside the Pond area.

The time listed is when the incident allegedly took place, not when it was reported. Arrests and charges are not convictions.

4:37 p.m. — Assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (other) — 57 Horan Way

6:09 p.m. — Luis E. Carrasquillo, 63 Callender St. #1R, Dorchester, was arrested and charged with possession of class D drugs with intent to distribute — 225 Centre St.

8:47 p.m. — Assault and battery — 930 Parker St.

10:17 p.m. — Zeigler O. White, 43 School St., Newton, was arrested and charged with possession of class B drugs (class includes cocaine) — 451 Centre St.

11 p.m. — Yhinny Matos, 1 Mark St. #3, was arrested and charged with assault and battery — Mark Street

11:30 p.m. — Larceny, vehicle accessory ($200 and over) — 241 Perkins St.

Wednesday, Oct. 1

12:44 a.m. — Anthony Govan, 275 Centre St. #190, was arrested and charged with assault with a dangerous weapon (knife) — Highland Street

Friday, Oct. 3

8:30 a.m. — Residential break-in (force used) — 228 South St.

9:55 a.m. — A Harrison Avenue man was arrested and charged on an unspecified warrant — Amory Avenue

3:45 p.m. — Assault and battery — 25 Walk Hill St.

5 p.m. — Motor vehicle accident involving bicycle — Centre Street

5:09 p.m. — A juvenile was arrested and charged with possession of a firearm/dangerous weapon — 99 Lamartine St.

6 p.m. — Animal control (dog bites, etc.) — 267 Hyde Park Ave.

6:09 p.m. — Amanda Demmons, 15 Louds Ave., Weymouth, was arrested and charged with possession of class A drugs (class includes heroin) — 200 Heath St.

11:50 p.m. — Assault with a dangerous weapon (other) — 235 Heath St.

11:51 p.m. — Motor vehicle accident involving bicycle — Washington Street

Saturday, Oct. 4

1:43 a.m. — Assault and battery — 112 Amory St.
