Eggie Gets Its Christmas On This Saturday

Hi neighbors. If you’re like me, you’re thrilled to see the sun again. Here’s your Morning Memo for all things JP.

Egleston Square Tree Lighting: On Saturday, Egleston Square will celebrate the season with a tree lighting, carolers, “parrandas” and free hot chocolate. The event runs from 2-6 p.m. Saturday, with Mayor Marty Walsh expected around 5 p.m. for the actual tree lighting.

More Holiday Cheer in Egleston: Also nearby will be JP Holiday Art Fair at Urbano (in the Brewery.) It’s a great chance to pick up local holiday gifts and support one of the neighborhood’s youth organizations. 4-7 p.m. Saturday, 29 Germania St.

JP Jubilee Concert: Meanwhile in Centre/South, Elizabeth Anker’s senior chorus will give a short concert at the JP Branch Library. Noon to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, 12 Sedgwick St.

OK, enjoy the sun, everybody!
