Boston firefighters responded to a three-alarm fire in a first-floor unit at the Pondview Apartments complex on Centre Street Saturday night.

No injuries were immediately reported, according to Boston Fire Department spokesperson Steve MacDonald. Later in the evening, Universal Hub reported that one resident has been taken to the hospital for evaluation.

It's unknown how many residents have been displaced from the complex at 560 Centre St. Fire investigators were on the scene to determine the cause.

The call for the four-story, 15-unit brick apartment building came in at 10:05 p.m., MacDonald told Jamaica Plain News. Flames were showing on the first floor upon firefighters' arrival, with smoke rising to the upper floors. The fire was contained to the single apartment; additional fire units were called in to assist in evacuations, given the size of the complex.

As of 11 p.m., Centre Street was still shut down between Green Street and South Huntington Avenue. The MBTA was providing a bus to transport residents who have been displaced for the night.
