Firefighters put out a dramatic car fire on Green Street during this morning's busy commute.
Emily Waggoner shared the above photo and video, taken at 8:42 a.m., with Jamaica Plain News. She also captured video as cars proceeded to drive around the burning vehicle, even as flames intensified and emitted a thick, black smoke.
The road was shut down as firefighters responded and extinguished the blaze.
Jamaica Plain News has contacted the Boston Fire Department to inquire about the cause of the fire.
