Polka Dog Bakery and Boomerangs Win Holiday Decorations Contest

Ninety-two Jamaica Plain businesses on Centre and South streets have holiday decorations this year and the Polka Dog Bakery and Boomerangs won first and second in a local holiday decorations contest.

Polka Dog Bakery won first place in the Jamaica Plain Business & Professional Association Business District Holiday Decorations Contest during the 2016 holiday season.

Polka Dog Bakery won an annual holiday decorations contest for businesses in JP.

Three judges decided the winners of the Jamaica Plain Business & Professional Association Business District Holiday Decorations Contest for the 2016 holiday season after checking out storefronts on two days in mid-December.

Boomerangs came in second in the Jamaica Plain Business & Professional Association Business District Holiday Decorations Contest for the 2016 holiday season.

The businesses were awarded points in three categories: most artistic, most festive, and most inviting to customers. The points for each business were added — and the winners are:
