Kevin Johnson was named the executive director of the JP Centre/South Main Street program in December 2016.

Kevin Johnson was hired in December after the position being vacant for 19 months. But the JP Centre/South Main Streets (JPCSMS) board of directors said he left the position for personal reasons, according to the Jamaica Plain Gazette.

“We look forward to bringing on new talent, and hope to be able to make an announcement soon. In the meantime, we will be focused on reinvigorating the district with events such as First Thursdays and Screen on the Green,” said JPCSMS Board President Brad Brown to the Gazette. “We remain committed to strengthening JP’s cultural vibrancy and diversity, supporting our thriving small businesses, and working to partner with other Main Streets districts to promote a cohesive JP community.”
