Jamaica Plain Children in Need Receive Backpacks, School Supplies from Bank of America Merrill Lynch

On August 23, Bank of America Merrill Lynch distributed 100 backpacks which were filled with school supplies by employee volunteers to students at Catholic Charities’ Nazareth Child Care Center in Jamaica Plain and Yawkey Child Care Center in Dorchester to help ensure they are ready for the new school year.

The backpack donation was part of a larger Bank of America effort to help low-income families squeezed by the cost of sending children back to school. Bank of America has been a longstanding partner of Catholic Charities of Greater Boston (CCAB) through charitable grant making for over 15 years.
