'101 días/101 days' photographs by Federico Cintrón Moscoso and Luis Edgardo Cotto document Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria.

"Federico and I hope that these images will keep the ongoing plight of the island in people's minds and that efforts to assist continue," said Cotto to Jamaica Plain News.

Photos in the exhibit were taken by Cotto and Federico Cintrón Moscoso, a professor at the University of Puerto Rico in Rio Piedras. The photos show the destruction of the immediate aftermath and provide scenes of hope months later on New Year's Eve. The photos were taken in the barrios of Santurce and Old San Juan in San Juan and in the mountain towns of Cidra and Adjuntas.

The exhibit is at Millennium Restaurant (3094 Washington St., in Roxbury) and will run through March 18. Millennium Restaurant is open daily from 8 am to 8 pm.

“We’re happy to work with Luis on this exhibit,” says Fani Moreta, owner of Millennium Restaurant. “We use our walls to feature local artists and issues, and we wanted to make sure that our neighbors remember that the people of our sister island are still dealing with this disaster.”
