Apple Day Festival at Egleston Farmers Market

January 24, 2015 @ 11:00 am - 2:00 pm

Free

Local apples in January? Yes, when stored properly, apples stay fresh and crisp. Bill Perkins from Agricultural Hall will demonstrate how to make fresh-pressed cider, apple cider vinegar, and hard cider. Fresh-pressed cider is pure ambrosia!  And there are few things that kids love to do more than help crush and press cider. Apex Orchards, our regular apple vendor from Shelburne, Mass. will sell their apples and feed the apple press with a variety of heirloom and conventional apples. Free samples, kids activities, and more.

Our indoor winter market will be open as usual from 10am-2pm, offering local produce, bread, cheese, eggs, grass-fed meat, fish, salsa, and more.
