May 7, 2016 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm$5
Spring brings the rebirth of the land, the fits and starts of a day, and the range and subtlety of light. The Concord Women’s Chorus presents “A Light Exists in Spring” on Saturday, May 7, 2016, at 4 p.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church, 81 Elm Street, Concord, Massachusetts. Filled with jazz, poetry and light, the program features works by Ola Gjeilo, Gwyneth Walker, Bob Chilcott, and Tarik O’Regan. With texts drawn from the poetry of May Sarton, Emily Dickinson and Rudyard Kipling, “A Light Exists in Spring” promises to shine light on exceptional music written for women’s voices. Tickets are $25 for adults, $20 for students and seniors, $5 for children 12 and under, and can be purchased at concordwomenschorus.org. A reception follows the concert. Jamaica Plain chorus members include Pianist Scott Nicholas.
