Cutting Edge Cooperatives at the JP Forum

May 7, 2015 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Join the JP Forum with Matt Meyer, Juan Leyton, Stacy Cordeiro and CEROCooperatives as we discuss the cooperative movement on the local, regional, and global levels.

In the midst of growing wealth inequality and a devastatingly unsustainable economic system, the cooperative movement is working to build a new economy that is bottom-up, instead of top down and is sustainable for workers, consumers and the planet.

If you support divesting from fossil fuels and building local green jobs and economies join us for an exploration of the state of the co-op movement in Boston and New England. From CEROCooperative, the local worker-owned composting and recycling business, to grocery stores, to low-income housing, we'll share inspirational stories of co-opers working to build a just economy and we'll share all the ways that people like you can be involved.
