Doggone Halloween in Downtown Crossing
October 31, 2014 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm
FreeHalloween has gone to the dogs! The Downtown Boston BID and the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (MSPCA) are co-sponsoring a Doggone Halloween costume parade. The parade will take place on Halloween Day, Friday, October 31st, from 12 to 2 pm in Downtown Boston. The event is free and open to the public.
Please arrive at One Summer Street by 12 pm. The parade starts at 12:30 pm and will include each canine contestant parading across a small stage with their owner, and small parade within the event space.
A panel of judges will determine three category winners shortly after the parade ends. The categories are: Cutest Costume, Scariest Costume, and Best Dog and Human Costume (think Scooby-Doo and Shaggy). All contestants will receive gifts for participation. The event ends at 2 pm.
Pre-registration is recommended, but not required, by requesting a free ticket from this invite. Due to space constraints, only 50 dogs will be allowed in the parade.
The Jamaica Plain News calendar is open to all local organizations and businesses.
