Good horticultural practices form the backbone of any successful garden. Understanding how to apply these practices is the first step toward becoming a horticulturist. Learn how to select the right plant for the right place and how to plant and care for native plants. Students will learn the proper techniques for transplanting, soil preparation, mulching, watering, pruning, maintenance, winterizing the garden, and preparing it for spring. Bring a bag lunch.
