A ‘new story’ time management workshop at First Church UU in Jamaica Plain, Saturday January 28 from 10 am to 4 pm, pay-as-you-are-able/come-when-you-can.
The workshop strengthens the new story of cooperation, connection, and plenty for all — a shift from the old story of competition, separation, and scarcity. Rather than working faster, harder, and longer, we’re called to choose mindfully and employ leverage in whatever we do.
We’ll share hands-on techniques and do reflective exercises/small group work to give substance to both the nitty-gritty practical aspects and the intuitive, personal/interpersonal aspects of time management.
The new story, fraught with the unknown, is yet to be fully written. As we dissolve patterns that no longer serve — being overwhelmed, guilt from not doing enough, despair at powerlessness — we try out new ways of being, thinking, and feeling that will take us through this uncertain time between stories and into the future.
