Opening Day Local Food Roast and Grill at Egleston Farmers Market on June 6
June 6, 2015 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
Egleston Farmers Market reopens on Saturday, June 6, rain or shine, at its new outdoor location in the JPNDC lot at the Amory Brewery Complex (next to Sam Adams Brewery), 29 Germania Street, JP. Dear June will perform live music and the Boston Cyclist Union will be on hand.
A delicious local foods lunch will be available starting at 12pm, featuring a pig roast, veggie grill, and side dishes donated by Lilac Hedge Farm, The Neighborhood Farm, Buckle Farm, The Food Project, and Exodus Bagels. Proceeds from the $10 a plate feast will go toward the market’s mission to make local healthy food available to everyone in Jamaica Plain and Roxbury.
Egleston Farmers Market is now open Saturdays from 10am-2pm, featuring local produce, meat, fish, eggs, cheese and other delights. Egleston Farmers Market welcomes SNAP/EBT payments (formerly known as food stamps) and SNAP recipients can receive up to $10 in matching Bounty Bucks to spend at the market.
The Jamaica Plain News calendar is open to all local organizations and businesses.
