Step Inside and Snuggle Up – Vacation Week Reading Event
February 22 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
An event every day that begins at 1:00pm, repeating until February 22, 2018
Come and spend a cozy afternoon at the Loring Greenough House exploring the world of The Wizard of Oz, Peter Pan and the Jungle Book!
Step Inside and Snuggle Up is a special series just for kids (and their grow-ups!) during school vacation week.
LISTEN to a reading of the book-of-the-day! Kids can make themselves at home in the front hall for a read-aloud by one of our volunteers. (Grown-ups can listen too or relax in the parlor with their own book.) Readings at 1:30pm and 2:30pm.
SHARE books during a free book exchange (for kids and grown-ups)! A book swap will be set-up in the parlor. Feel free to bring a book you would like to pass on to someone else and/or take a book home with you. (Children’s and Adults’ books welcome.) The Friends of the Jamaica Plain Branch Library will be donating books for the swap!
MAKE a craft inspired by the book-of-the-day! Volunteers will be on-hand in the kitchen to help kids with a make-and-take craft!
ENJOY some delicious refreshments! In the dining room you will find snacks and beverages to enjoy while you read and participate in activities!
