The Art of Communication

April 20, 2016 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

$30.00

In Section III of this 6 part It’s All Connected series, we will cover how to successfully and clearly communicate with the public in order to engage an audience and entice newcomers to your brand. Finding a consistent voice in marketing, artist statements and bios, and considering content when posting online via your website and social media will be covered, along with learning to protect yourself via contracts and other business documents. Gaining confidence when it comes to writing and speaking is key for any artist who wishes to develop their career. Participants will walk away with the tools necessary for effective communication.

This is the third of a six part workshop series which guides participants through branding, audience targeting, marketing, developing an online presence, oral & written communication skills, pricing your products or services, and selling your products or services.  Students do not need to have attended earlier workshops to participate.  While the series is tailored to artists, any creative entrepreneur or small business owner can gain from the lessons.  Instructor, Anna Koon brings her years of experience as a small business consultant, creative coach, and professional artist to the classroom.

The workshop series is hosted by the Focusing Series and will take place at Uforge Gallery.
