The Artist’s Archive: How to Illuminate Your Artwork

July 30, 2016 @ 10:00 am - 12:30 pm

$75.00

Creating quality images of your artwork for marketing materials, selling & displaying your art online and portfolio organization is one of the keys to success. In this 2 day workshop through hands-on instruction participants will learn from a professional photographer what the best camera settings are for capturing optimal images and how to take great photographs of your work both indoors and outdoors. You will also learn how to save and organize your image files for easy future access. The first day of the workshop will cover proper outdoor/indoor lighting opportunities, appropriate background options, and the best focus/exposure techniques for truly rendering every detail your artwork. The second day will cover uploading, labeling, tagging, culling and managing your image files in an organized fashion so that future use is easy. Students must attend both days and will need to bring a camera and a laptop to class.

Anyone in need of visually enticing images for online marketing and printed materials can benefit from this two-day workshop.  Hosted by the Focusing Series and professional photographer, Gretjen Helene, this workshop will teach you how to best use your camera or device to take great photos, and how to edit and organize your images after the photo shoot.  Please note this is a two-day workshop: Session I is Saturday, July 30 and Session II is Sunday, July 31.  Both sessions are 10-12:30pm.
