‘The Man in the Cowboy Hat’ film screening at JP Branch Library 6 p.m.

October 5, 2017 @ 6:00 pm

Free

Carlos Arredondo is best known for saving a life during the Boston Marathon bombing. But his story begins a decade earlier with the death of his own son in the war in Iraq. ‘The Man in the Cowboy Hat’ follows Carlos for ten years as he evolves from a grief stricken father to an influential peace activist to the Boston Marathon bombing hero.

His story of public involvement and private struggle, much of which unfolded in Jamaica Plain, raises important questions about the impact of war on families, patriotism and the American Dream.

The Jamaica Plain Branch Library and filmmakers Janice Rogovin and Laura McLam invite you to join them for the screening and Q&A immediately following.
