“Where the Wild Things Are”: A KidsArts! Fundraiser
June 14, 2015 @ 6:00 pm - 6:30 pm$1 - $25
- An autographed (and, yes, fully-inflated) football from Tom Brady.
- A weekend at a beautiful organic farm in northern Vermont, with fresh produce delivered to your doorstep every morning.
- Generous gift certificates from many JP businesses including Boing!, City Feed and Fresh Hair – to name only a few.
That is a very short list of all the silent auction items available at JP’s KidsArts! fundraiser taking place on Sunday, June 14 at 6pm.
“We hope the community will come out and celebrate the work our children have done!” says KidsArts! Executive Director, Maren Coniglione. “Our art classes have been hard at work learning their lines.”
A JP stalwart KidsArts! is an arts-centric after school and summer program that has been working hard to complement local 5-11 year olds in their education for over twenty years. Located at the Unitarian Church on 6 Eliot Street, this year’s fundraiser will be a performance by KidsArts! students of the beloved children’s book, “Where the Wild Things Are.” Tickets are $25 for adults and $1 for children.
Helmed by a dedicated staff of artist-teachers KidsArts!’ mission is to allow children to explore their creative side in a safe and enriching environment. As an extension of that mission the students will be creating all their own costumes and sets for a half-hour performance, that will be capped by the silent auction and a selection of food from JP restaurants (including Cafe Beirut, Canary Square and the Centre Street Cafe).
Tickets to this fun, and endlessly charming event, are available on the JP KidsArts! website www.jpkidsarts.org, emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or by contacting them at 617-524-0818. The performance promises to be the best way to kick off the summer! To put it in proper context, as Maren Coniglione, put it “Join us for food, drink, and most of all – fun!”
