City Creates Zoning Appeals Fast Lane for Small Biz

It’s no secret the zoning process in Boston is stuck at a crawl. Mayor Marty Walsh has directed the Zoning Board of Appeals to begin special meetings just for small businesses and small residential projects.

Less than three weeks after Mayor Martin J. Walsh extended the hours of the Zoning Board of Appeals in an effort to accelerate the permitting process, the administration has taken steps intended to streamlined the zoning process for small business and owner-occupied residential applications.
