Study: Cambridge, Brookline are More Liberal than Boston

The study of how the politics of larger-city residents translates into city policies also found Boston to be the fifth-most liberal U.S. city of more than 25,000 people.

BOSTON – Boston is the fifth most-liberal big city in the country. And it’s not even the most liberal municipality in the area. That distinction, perhaps unsurprisingly, goes to Cambridge. Those are two of the data points in a new study on representation in city governments.
