Jamaica Plain Pair Honored by Celtics as Heroes Among Us

One of the most popular in-house Boston Celtics interludes is Heroes Among Us, which honors individuals who have made exceptional and lasting contributions to the community. Recently, a Jamaica Plain duo were honored during the Jan. 16th home game against the New Orleans Pelicans.

After graduating college and landing a full-time job, Jamaica Plain native Noah McKenna decided to be a mentor with Partners for Youth with Disabilities. McKenna was matched with an energetic 10-year old named Tavis and their relationship quickly grew into a unique bond through cheering for the Celtics at the Garden, cooking, gardening, attending social justice rallies together and more.
