Photos: Groovy ‘Promises, Promises’ Opens at The Footlight Club Friday

The Footlight Club's latest production, Neil Simon's "Promises, Promises," which opens Friday, provides a campy look at the office culture of 1960s, a la "Mad Men." "Promises, Promises" provides a colorful, groovy look at 1968 while featuring music by Burt Bacharach and lyrics by Hal David. The stage production is also a musical adaptation of 1960 movie "The Apartment," starring Jack Lemmon and Shirley Maclaine. The Footlight Club's production features colorful vintage costumes by David Alger and Judy Maggs. Director Jamie Alley’s structured the musical similar to 1960s variety shows such as "The Dean Martin Show" and "Laugh-In."
