Footlight Club’s ‘Peter and The Starcatcher’ Opens Sept. 16th

The tale of Peter Pan flying into Wendy Darling's bedroom, fighting Captain Hook and toying around with Tinkerbell are well known -- but how did Peter Pan become Peter Pan? The Footlight Club's production of "Peter and the Starcatcher," opening Sept. 16th in Jamaica Plain, will provide insight into the genesis of Peter and why he never wanted to grow up. The family-friendly Tony Award winning Broadway play recently became available for community theaters to perform, and kicks off The Footlight Club's 141st season. "'Peter and the Starcatcher' upends the century-old story of how a miserable orphan becomes Peter Pan," said director and choreographer Julia Deter.
