Here's your morning update for Monday, Feb. 24:
Looking to civic meetings this week, there are several JP properties on the docket for Tuesday's Zoning Board of Appeals at City Hall. The meeting gets underway at 9:30 a.m. in Room 801.
And later on Tuesday, the Jamaica Plain Neighborhood Council holds its monthly meeting. The agenda includes addressing three vacancies in "Area A" of the elected advisory board. If you're interested in joining the group, check this map to see if you live in Area A. The meeting starts at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Farnsworth House, 90 South St.
On Thursday, come to the fourth annual "State of JP" forum at the Kennedy School. If you've been to previous versions of this community conversation, you'll know that the evening tackles some of our neighborhood's toughest issues, like gentrification, racial justice and inequality. Sponsors include the Gazette, which wrote this editorial framing JP's challenges. 6-9 p.m. Thursday at the Kennedy School, 7 Bolster St.
