Here's a little slice of neighborhood life: JP's newest coffee bar has a cool way to remind you not to steal its newspaper.

At first glance, you think 7 Pond Coffee Bar is actually advertising on the section fronts of the New York Times.

"We get that a lot," said barista Judson MacRae.

The coffee bar stamps the front of each section. It's part branding and part reminder not to walk off with the paper. At least on Friday, it appeared to be working. It was nearly 4 p.m. and none of the sections had been stolen.
