Stabbing Suspect From JP Held Down Until Cops Arrive

Police say a man cut during a fight in the North End subdued the Jamaica Plain man who allegedly stabbed him.

Police arrested John Driscoll, 29, of JP after police say he stabbed a 25-year-old Waltham man, according to the Boston Herald.

The victim's wounds aren't life threatening, reports NECN. Driscoll himself suffered minor injuries in the incident.

The stabbing took place just after midnight on Sunday at Hanover and Blackstone streets, reports Fox 25Universal Hub has a photo from the crime scene.

Boston Police report that the victim had intervened when he allegedly saw Driscoll try to assault a female. Driscoll allegedly pulled a knife and stabbed the victim during the struggle. When police arrived, they found the victim had Driscoll pinned beneath him.
