Here are highlights from the police blotter for Jamaica Plain for Monday, Oct. 27 and Tuesday, Oct. 28. Incidents include an attempted armed robbery right by the E-13 police station.

In that incident, three men approached a victim outside Ruggiero's Market, 3345 Washington St., about 10:45 a.m. last Monday. One of the men, who was in his 20s, about 5-5 and wearing a Chicago Bulls jersey, had a knife. They asked the victim for his belongings, according to a Boston Police spokesman, and the victim threw two $5 bills on the sidewalk. That's when the trio noticed a uniformed officer coming out of the adjacent police station. The would-be muggers ran away.
