Boston Police confirm a student was stabbed outside what used to be the Agassiz School on Child Street. The person's injuries aren't life-threatening.

Police say the victim, whose age they didn't specify, was taken to Brigham & Women's Hospital for treatment after the incident, which took place about 12:40 p.m. Friday. NECN reports students as saying the victim is in the 11th grade.

Police say a few kids ran from the scene. Universal Hub reports the suspect is 18 or 19, with cornrows tinted yellow running down to his shoulders.

The former Agassiz School now houses two different public schools: Margarita Muñiz Academy, a bilingual high school; and Mission Hill School, a K-8.
