Mayor Marty Walsh announced Tuesday evening that the most recent snow emergency and parking ban will expire at 5 p.m. Wednesday. That means you can park again on major arteries like Centre Street.

Tuesday's warmish temps and lack of snow allowed the city to get the historic snowfall a bit better under control. Another storm is expected Thursday, but it might just give Boston a glancing blow and 1-3 inches of snow.

City policy is that space savers should be removed no longer than 48 hours after a snow emergency ends. That'd be 5 p.m. Friday. Judging from JP streets after expiration of the last deadline, that rule won't be followed at all.
