STAND OFF. WELD HILL

The National Weather Service has issued a blizzard warning for JP effective 7 p.m. Saturday. The Nor'easter is expected to bring another 10-14 inches of snow and produce whiteout conditions.

The weather agency had previously issued a blizzard watch.

The city has seen 78 inches of snow dumped on it in 2015. We're an inch shy of the snowiest month in Boston history, according to the National Weather Service.

The Weather Service warns that whiteout conditions and bitter cold will make travel "nearly impossible and potentially life-threatening."

However, you may still have time to get in Valentine's Day dinner in JP or before the most serious part of the storm hits. WHDH reports that steady snow will begin around midnight Saturday.

[Editor's note: "Smell the Love," the fundraising concert for the JP Music Festival originally referenced above, has been postponed because of the expected blizzard.]
