Here are highlights from the police blotter for Jamaica Plain from Thursday, March 26 through Sunday, March 29, including details about an armed robbery attempt on Seaverns Avenue in which a man was stabbed.

Police say that got a call about 11:35 p.m. on Friday, March 27 for a mugging at 75 Seaverns Ave. A man, whose wounds appeared to be superficial, told police he was an exchange student. He told police he'd walked from Green Street Station toward Brewer Street when he was set upon by two men.

One of the men hit and stabbed him. He was described as a black man about 6-0, with a slim build and wearing a green Celtics jacket. The victim couldn't say how old the man might've been. The other assailant was described as about 6-0 but of unknown age or clothing. They fled in the direction of the station, having failed to get anything from the victim.

Emergency Medical Services took the victim, who according to Universal Hub was stabbed in the stomach and leg, to Brigham & Women's Hospital.
