Mayor Marty Walsh will be on hand for a groundbreaking ceremony to kick off the renovation of the JP branch library this Friday, Sept. 25, at 10 a.m. Following the ceremony, Walsh will host a construction-themed story time next door at Curtis Hall.
Renovations at the Sedgwick Street library, which closed in early August, will provide more than 20 percent more space and improve accessibility. Work on the 1911 building is expected to last 18 to 24 months.
