JP-based Sam Adams is the official beer sponsor of a German-themed Oktober Fall Festival this Saturday Oct. 3, from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Irish Social Club in neighboring West Roxbury.
The festival benefits the Chefs Table Foundation, whose focus is to provide culinary education to homeless U.S. veterans and underprivileged youths.
“Sam Adams has been very generous with the Chefs Table Foundation," says foundation co-founder Carol O'Connor. "This is the second year they have donated product to the Oktober Fall Festival. The Foundation is appreciative of their support."
The evening will feature food, German music, games and contests such the chicken dance and a German cake-eating contest, a German beer seminar, raffles and more. Tickets are $25 and include cuisine, contests and entertainment. Attendees are encouraged to wear traditional German clothing, such as dirndl, lederhosen, hats and blouses/skirts.
