Yogis from Jamaica Plain and beyond can get their Downward Facing Dog on for a good cause on Sunday, Oct. 25, when the third annual "Poses for Pit Bulls" yoga class kicks off at the MSPCA in Jamaica Plain.

The 90-minute "align and flow" class begins at 10 a.m. and promises to challenge the beginner and experienced student alike. Taught by JP-based yoga instructor Rob Halpin, the class may also feature a visit from an adoptable pup or two during Savasana.

The cost is $20, and 100 percent of the proceeds will go to the MSPCA’s Pit Pals Program, which provides low-cost spay and neuter services for pit bulls in the greater Boston area. Learn more at www.mspca.org/pitpals.

No yoga experience is required, but even seasoned yogis will enjoy the opportunity to deepen their practice. All you need to bring is a yoga mat, a yoga block (if you have one), and your love of movement and animals!

Online registration is open at www.mspca.org/yoga.
