Seeking a diverse cast of male and female actors of all backgrounds ages 20-80 to portray 20 characters in a workshop performance of an original documentary play, BIG WORK.

Based on interviews with real people across the country, BIG WORK examines our modern day relationships to our jobs, and what it means to both make a living and make a life. The characters in the play are white, black, Asian and South Asian as well as Orthodox Jewish and Muslim. While each actor cast will play two to four different characters, likely of different genders and races, we want the cast to reflect the diversity of the characters.

Actors who have experience with or interest in devised theatre are welcome to audition, although this is not a requirement. We seek a flexible ensemble invested in the creative process that is willing and excited to provide feedback, generate physical scene work, and learn more about the documentary theatre process.

Please bring one copy of your headshot and resume to the audition, and prepare a two-minute monologue, either comedic or dramatic. You will also be asked to read material from the script at the audition; sides will be provided.
