Contractors reportedly broke an interior gas main at 192 Amory St. in Jamaica Plain, and firefighters initially faced difficulty in turning off the gas, according to Universal Hub.
At least 10 people were evacuated from the building, reports Universal Hub, who shared the following stream of tweets shortly after 3 p.m. Friday. At about 3:30 p.m., National Grid reportedly arrived and turned off the gas. Amory Street was reopened to traffic about 10 minutes later.
