As part of Imagine Boston 2030, the city held a meeting last week to gather feedback from residents on what they want for the future of Franklin Park. But don't worry: If you couldn't attend the meeting, there is an online survey you can fill out.
The Feb. 16 meeting was organized by the city as part of its Imagine Boston 2030 initiative, in conjunction with the Boston Parks and Recreation departments and the Franklin Park Coalition. Representatives from the Emerald Necklace Conservancy were also in attendance and tweeted a photo of the meeting showing it was a packed house.
The survey asks about current uses of Franklin Park and inquires how people would like the park to evolve.
Some of the questions include:
- What are your favorite things to do in Franklin Park now?
- Where are you favorite places in Franklin Park?
- How do you use Franklin Park?
- What, if anything, needs to be updated?
- What is your favorite memory of Franklin Park?
The survey poses questions in regards to the economic effect of Franklin Park on local businesses:
- How could Franklin Park best support local businesses’ health, economic development, economic mobility, and resiliency?
- What are the business opportunities that come with enhancing Franklin Park? How can we better welcome the local business community?
- How has your business been affected by major events? (i.e. parades)
The survey also asks questions about safety, such as:
- Where do you feel unsafe in Franklin Park?
- What could be done to make them safer?
