Police Seize Drugs and Cash, Make Arrests on Forbes Street

Boston Police report they made a significant drug bust in Jamaica Plain over the weekend.

According to the department's blog, on Saturday, July 1, officers in the citywide drug control unit executed a search warrant as part of a month-long investigation into an organized drug trafficking operation in the area of 42 Forbes St. in JP. The result? Officers say they found and nabbed more than 400 grams of heroin, 250 grams of fentanyl and $4,945 in cash.

The targets of the investigation were placed in custody without incident. Angel Martinez, 49, of Roxbury, Pablo Baez, 32, of Jamaica Plain, Carlos Melendez, 28, of Jamaica Plain, and Maylelin Ramirez-Tejeda, 32, of Jamaica Plain have since been arraigned in West Roxbury District Court on multiple charges including trafficking Class A and B drugs, possession of Class B drugs with intent to distribute, and distribution of Class B drugs.
