There will be 22 musical acts this year at the 7th Annual JP Music Festival being held on September 9.
Rick Berlin and Shamus Moynihan created the festival in 2011 and this year's festival will be held at Jamaica Pond's Pinebank Field on Saturday, September 9 from 12 to 7 pm.
The JP Music Festival features solo musicians and bands who either live or work in Jamaica Plain. And you'll probably recognize some of the performers who will entertain continuously from two stages.
The festival will also offer music activities for kids with Jaymz Purtle and Mike Greensteen.
The festival lineup includes:
The Bella Lunatics
Rick Berlin with The Nickel & Dime Band
Nicolás Castaneda Group
“Sonny” Jim Clifford
The Footlight Club
The Motivated Sequence
Nick and the Adversaries
None of the Above
The Party Band
Four area recording studios have generously donated one day of recording time to JP Music Festival performers who will be chosen at random, including Dimension Sound,
Machine Gun Studios, Zippah Recording and Bitch Kitty Studios.
Food trucks and vendors will be available, including Baby's Bonetown BBQ, Bon Me, Bukhara Indian Bistro, Daddy's Bonetown Burgers, JP Licks, Roxy's Grilled Cheese, Sheherazad and Whole Heart Provisions.
In the coming weeks Stage Sponsor J.P. Licks will be selling the Official Ice Cream Flavor of the JP Music Festival at all locations called Squirrel Nut Zipple.
