ESAC's 22nd Taste of Jamaica Plain is on September 14th, 2017 in the Nature's Neighborhoods of the Franklin Park Zoo.

People in the Boston area due to being displaced by Hurricane Harvey or Irma are welcome to attend Thursday's 22nd Annual Taste of Jamaica Plain for free as guests of ESAC.

"Our hearts go out to those who have been directly affected by the devastation of Irma and/or Harvey.  ESAC would like to do what it can to help. If you have family staying with you because they can't be at home, we would like to invite you to come to the Taste as our guests, thanks to an anonymous donor," said an email from ESAC to Jamaica Plain News.

Those affected will not have to prove they were affected by the hurricanes so honesty is required.

ESAC is a 501(c)3 non-profit community organization and ticket sales will go to support ESAC’s GED Plus education programs for at-risk youth, as well as programs for free home repair for low-income seniors and foreclosure prevention counseling.

The 22nd Annual Taste of Jamaica Plain is on Thursday, Sept. 14th from 6 to 9 pm at the Franklin Park Zoo (1 Franklin Park Road at the Main/Zebra Entrance). There will be more than 20 local restaurants participating in this year's event. VIP tickets get you in at 5 pm, complimentary drinks at the bar and more. There are discounted tickets for seniors, and children under 12 eat for free. Tickets can be purchased online by clicking here.
