Join "Dreams of Chonta" film director Monica Cohen and musicians Isaac Matus and Juan Tello to learn about music from the Pacific Coast of Colombia and the story of Diego Obregon, an Afro-Colombian musician featured in the film, who is an undocumented immigrant willing to sacrifice everything for his dreams.
Excerpts of the film "Dreams of Chonta" will be shown and participants will have the opportunity to touch and play traditional Colombian instruments. This event is on September 18th from 6 to 7:30 pm at the Connolly Branch of the Boston Public Library (433 Centre St.).
