Thread Ensemble, a JP-based violins and vibraphone trio, has launched a crowdfunded project where they co-create new music with backers of the project.

By telling a 5-word story, offering a photograph, choosing ingredients, or submitting a drawing, participants will have a hand in creating new music directly from these influences.
Thread Ensemble specializes in creating improvised pieces through audience interactions and will perform the pieces from the Kickstarter project in May 2018. This month, Kickstarter is highlighting projects involving collaboration between artists and backers through their "Commissions" program.
