A Boston firefighter was arraigned on April 18 on charges that he allegedly sexually assaulted a woman in January at the Jamaica Plain Centre Street firehouse.

On Jan. 14, David Sanchez, 37, of Hyde Park, allegedly assaulted a female victim by trying to kiss her, pulling her pants down, exposing himself and pushing her onto a couch, reported WCVB. Sanchez is currently on leave, according to WCVB.

Sanchez was formally charged with assault and battery and indecent assault and battery, according to the Suffolk County District Attorney's office. Prosecutors recommended $2,000 cash bail, but West Roxbury Municipal Court Judge Mary Ann Driscoll imposed personal recognizance and ordered Sanchez to stay away from the victim.

Sanchez is scheduled to return to court on June 13.
