The officers and volunteers of Boston Police District E-13 in Jamaica Plain want to take this opportunity to offer our great appreciation to all of the sponsors who helped with the Fishing Derby on June 30.

Almost 400 kids, parents, friends and neighbors all enjoyed a sunny, fun-filled afternoon of fishing and games at beautiful Jamaica Pond. The derby was the 2nd Annual Catch & Release with the Boston Police, organized by the officers and staff of BPD, District E-13. With generous help from many local sponsors, the kids received fishing gear, food, cold drinks, music, games, raffles, demonstrations and more.

This free, fun local event was very much appreciated, as seen in the smiling faces at the Pond throughout the afternoon. Each of the sponsors listed made an important contribution to this celebration.
